
Each emotion has its value
offering wisdom, relief
insight to our inner world
yet our emotions can be
destructive if not governed.
Be patient, have compassion, wisdom
anger tells us that something
is happening that needs our attention
a strong signal that warns us
of an inner or outer situation
that needs to be resolved.
The wisest initial reaction
is to wait. Let the wave
pass though
breath deeply
remain quiet
choose how you want to react
observe your boundaries
as others must do, too
yet say or do nothing
that you later wish undone.
Use your anger as a tool
not a weapon
and it will be
a friend to you.
