It’s How You Look At It

More rain, more mud, mosquitoes,
bad roads, curse the rain!
More rain, more fruit, flowers,
morning air washed fresh and sweet.
Thank you, oh mighty Creator for
the cooling, welcomed rain.

  1. Rain is certainly a curse and a blessing! The photo is stunning, the clarity and patterns on the petals, amazing. 🙂

  2. Oh, I love the rain and those Irises are gorgeous! Yes, I can get so annoyed if people curse the rain. People complain about the leaves in Autumn. I say : Thank nature for the leaves…it means we still have trees. 🙂

  3. I was right! I was right! For perhaps the first time in my life I recognized a flower, and named it correctly, and it wasn’t a rose! I’m so happy! And such a gorgeous picture, vibrant and alive…. the statement in connection is very apt, as well, joyfully humble… nice one! And thanks, I saved the pic to be a part of the slideshow I use on my desktop as a rotating background… it will fit in perfectly…. thanks for this post, it’s a little gem….

    • You made me laugh. Glad you liked the irises. They come in many colors and you grow them from bulbs. They spread easily, and come back every year. Now you are an expert. lol hugs, pat

      • lol, thanks… My grandmother’s neighbor always had irises in her garden that would bloom every spring, so I’ve seen them a long time, but have never really tried to learn the names, as I’m an addictive learner, and once I started on that process with flowers, I wouldn’t stop until I felt competent, which would no doubt take years. So, it’s one of those areas that I always have in reserve should I run out of other stuff to look into… thanks again for the great photo..
