Sacrifice

How can we believe
that a sacrifice
is needed to pay
for our wrongdoings?
Is our God so cruel
as to demand that
which He created
die to appease Him?

My God is of perfect love
never angry
seeking revenge
demanding what
we can not give

My God creates
sunsets
hummingbirds
comfort
all that is perfection
the love of our Creator
is without end
