Wardrobe emptied,
seldom used clothes
passed to those in need.
Windows polished,
house boasting fresh paint,
all is ready
to greet the New Year.
Just one more task to ready
for a new beginning
that, of course, is ME!
Banish: prejudice,
lingering resentments,
old dramas replayed
in dreary monologues,
silent fears,
which never comes to past.
Polish the Light of Love,
fill my heart with gratitude,
watch tadpoles swimming in lingering puddles,
ferns unfurling with gentle joy.
Hop a ride on bobbing butterflies;
smell the silky mane of my treasured horse.
New beginnings renew our hope,
remind us of forgotten promises,
allow us to do away with all
that no longer serves us.
Give me courage to leave behind
anything that I do not need to carry
into this new year of unlimited possibilities.
“Give me courage to leave behind
anything that I do not need to carry
into this new year of unlimited possibilities.”
Awesome, Pat xoxoxo
