If I were blind
what would I see?
Meadows, mountains,
lands of mystery. I
would see rainbows,
unicorns, fairies,
and elves, play music
of my heart, sing
sweet songs covered with
morning dew. If I were
blind, I would see
only good in others,
and life would be just
fine for I would see
the world with my heart
filled with love for the Divine.

Someone greater than us once said – “the light of the body is the eyes, and if your eyes be single then your body shall be filled with light”. As much as that statement is true, i believe also your heart’s got something to do with it. 🙂 YOU ROCK.

true story
my blind Aunt Olof would agree
she lost her sight and half her hearing
owing to a brain tumor
they gave her 6 months to live
she inspires me to be the best person that I could be
and I think she would really enjoy this poem
thank you Pat
for sharing it

I hope you read it to her, Nina. Sometimes our worst tragedies bring the greatest blessings. hugs, pat PS, never believe a person who tells you that you only have a certain number of months to life. Only God knows that and even He can change his mind and extend the time. 🙂

I agree, it’s one of the challenges with the medical profession and more generally.
People have their opinions
and professional people have expert opinions arising from their knowledge and experience
but much of medicine, especially assessing how long a person may live, is guesswork.
sometimes educated and more often than not, just opinionated.
and many people, because it’s said by a doctor, simply obey.
sad but true.
