Everything Changes

Everything changes
it is the way of the world
yet some things remain
constant, even
after they’ve gone.

Moon cycles, ever enlarging
orb, then decreasing until
it disappears yet to appear again.
Changes that remain the same.

I am here to learn, to grow
to develop my ability to love
yet I remain unchangeable
perfect as God made me
a paradox divine.
