to killing people
with unlimited funds
and power
producing heroes and holidays

We celebrate the slaughter
of little children and bad guys
turn our sons into killers
and, in the end, these organizations
turns on us in the name
of homeland security
stripping our freedoms
making a mockery of our constitution
all the while we sit brainwashed
and compliant
while bombs fall without ceasing.

What if killing organizations
did not exist? If everyone refused
to participate or fund? Would
the world be taken over by
terrorists and gangs? Or would
we find other solutions
raise kids who believed killing is wrong?
Would we finally have a world
where peace and love are the only solutions?
