Beacon of Love

There is a beacon
a lighthouse by the sea
it’s light shines far and wide
guiding seafarers past shoals
into safe harbor
to warm hearths
where loved ones
receive them tenderly.

Am I a lighthouse
shining the light of love
for humanity
or am I the traveler
returning home
from a journey
across the sea?

We are both, a beacon
a traveler, we are the light
looking for the light
going far and wide in search
for what we already have
becoming what we already are
a beacon of love.
