Unkind Thoughts

colors1

An unkind thought is a double edge blade.
It cuts the sender and receiver.
If our thoughts covered receivers
with visible colors, what colors
would the world be?

Am I creating rainbows of harmony
or do dark colored clouds fill my world?
May I have a palette of compassion yellow,
healing greens, sacred purples, love-filled
rose, serenity blues, golds of the Divine.
May I paint with huge swatches of joy,
harmony, and love until the world at last
is how it was meant to be.

  1. It is very true that when we think and say unkind things we are also hurting ourselves! I think people often don’t realize it either. People think that unkind words may lift their own spirits when putting others down but in fact, like a self-esteem balloon, both parties get deflated.

A beautiful poem which reminds me of the Disney Pocahontas song – painting with all the “colours of the wind” 🙂

Thanks for your loving, illuminating thoughts. How the world was meant to be depends upon us co-creating it now. The world will always be a perfect mirror of our reality, challenging, yet exciting and full of empowerment. Thanks Pat for lightening the load. ♥
