The Cloak

I am cloaked in goodness,
yet there dwells within,
the darkest of the dark…
the potential for evil
lodges deep in each of us.
We restrain it, keep it buried,
but there it sits, eager, waiting,
terrible yet alluring.

How do we rid ourselves of this
dark aspect–there is only one
solution. We must replace it with
love for only the Light of Love
can permanently wipe away this
stain of the soul.

Just as a man is capable of ultimate
evil, each of us is seeded with the
Divinity of goodness. We must choose
which we wish to cultivate and by
our fruits will you know us.
