Different from Me

You are different from me,
I am afraid of you.
You are different from me,
our differences create
opportunities to grow.

It is a matter of perspective;
a multicolored quilt is joyous
and comforting, its random
patterns merging into a work
of art to be enjoyed by all
who welcome its warmth.

    lovely

    the image that a nation uses is very telling

    Canada is a mosaic – every new immigrant demographic bringing it’s distinction to the whole

    while America is a melting pot – which ends up being lowest common denominator

    a haiku that I recently wrote:

    to a mosaic
    a melting pot
    means glue
