Blink of an Eye

Man can not
perceive the value
of a single moment
in the totality
of the Universe
yet in the catch
of a breath lies
possibilities of
life-turning events.
Sometimes the world
rests in that
blink of an eye,
instantly come and gone
leaving nothing the same.

Oh, so true… now more than ever, “blink of an eye, instantly come and gone – leaving nothing the same.” But God never promised us sameness. It is in the constant promise of change that we find hope for tomorrow and peace for this moment. I look forward to the “new normal” that will be established when we emerge from our sequestering to a “Great Awakening.” Don’t you, Pat?

Yes, I am hopeful that this pandemic will wake us all up to what is truly important in life. It is also putting a spotlight on the corruption of world “leaders” and the greed of the wealthy in our failing monetary system. It is affecting all of us at many different levels. Hopefully, all who survive will work toward making some much-needed changes. May God protect us all, Jan. hugs, pat

  2. We all let too many moments pass, but just now and again after reading words like those we stop and consider precious moments passed whether they be happy or sad.

  3. Inspiring words…there are so many moments of missed opportunities and I think we can underestimate the power and change that one moment can bring.

    Moments are overwhelming

when I think about years and decades actually

    decades of my life wasted
