When I come home
my dog greets me
with such joy.
How I wish I could
love like this,
so freely, without reserve.
Oh, for a tail to wag.

This performance is amazing but the sheer joy of the dog brought tears to my eyes. How we underestimate the love of animals!

What a wonderful piece. Truly, being with my dog teaches me lessons on love that I am lucky to experience. Thanks for posting this.

In my house, love is covered in fur…fur unconditionally sheds everywhere! The truth is, my dog is big, slobbery and an oaf. He doesn’t just wag is tail…his whole behind wags. That being said, he is one of the great joys of my life. If I was a dog, I’d want a tail to wag, but I don’t think I would want to shed so much, just out of niceness to my peoples. 😉
