Death’s Questions

baby-bear-play-with-teddy-bear

The question at death
is not how much you accumulated
how hard you worked
or even a count of your successes.
The angel of death
wants a different accounting
no less will do.

How much did you learn?
How much did you love?
How much did you do to help others?

It is this that we must
face when it is our time to go.
Consider carefully, Dear Ones,
if you are living a life that
allows you to answer these questions
without fear, knowing you have
lived this life with love
in your heart, which is the best
one can do, indeed.
