The reach of a tongue’s
unkind words
knows no limits.
Speak only with kindness
or keep your tongue still.

A fault we all are guilty of. I recently blasted a friend with something she does that I have tried to overlook for a long time. I tried talking calmly about it and she said, “Oh, everyone says that about me.” I know I exploded and should not have, yet I can’t help but wonder if sometimes we need to show our anger for someone to really get it that what they are doing is unacceptable. The poem is wise, and right in most circumstances, but the jury is still out for me. sigh…oh, to be perfect. Got a long way to go. hugs, pat
