Wisdom of a Raindrop

flower in drop

Only the nearness of death
stops our frantic chase
when we finally stop to ponder
“Is this all there is?”
The whole time spent
chasing or being chased
missing the reflection
in a single raindrop.

Hi, Kim. I am glad you are writing again. It is good for the soul, for sure. All is well with me. Still trying to adjust to this crazy American culture after so many years in Brazil. hugs, pat
