I want what I want–now!
This is not a charming trait.
I see it for all its arrogant

Dear God, please remove this
fault, and hurry up!

“I me me mine!” If when you’re a child you’re used to getting everything you want without earning it first, it stands to reason everyone should follow suit and just hand over the goods. Unfortunately, this is not how life works. Goods obtained effortlessly has very little meaning for us, and quickly disintegrates.

So true and worse, we develop a sense of entitlement. Terrible circle to be in. I volunteer with a group that helps people who are homeless or in dire straights. I am amazed at the number of people who walk in wanting only a “hand-out,” not a “hand-up.” Our generosity is sometimes more for us than the ones we help. Hugs, pat

Ah, good one, Pat. How in sync we are, my friend!! I *just* posted this week’s article on prayer — much of which was focused on the petitionary (request) type of prayer. If you get a chance to check it out, let me know what you think. Love, hugs, and more hugs, Leslie
