Eating Corn

Sweet corn, little kernels
in a row. Do I eat you one
by one, or gobble you in
big bites? How we approach
life is our own unique style.
We all enjoy the harvest feast,
but in different ways. Let us
learn to respect and enjoy our
differences for they make us
individuals, a rich medley of life.

  1. Love this poem. I love corn and I also ask the question you posed. And for sure I hope we learn to respect each other more.

  2. Courtesy, respect! “Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God, with all thy heart, thy mind, thy soul”. “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself (thy Self)”

  3. Kathi says:

I love corn as I was raised on a Farm. Love the post for this.

  4. Renard Moreau says:

[ Smiles ] Once it is not genetically engineered corn, I will partake of it.

    Nice poetry!
