Rock of Truth

Today I am certain,
finally figured it out.
Whew! what a relief!
I wave the flag of truth
based on self-righteousness.

Today I am certain, tomorrow,
a “yeah, but what if…” creeps
in, dissolving my certainty in
an instant. How can the rock of
truth be as shifting sand?

I was so certain I had the truth!

  2. I like to think truth is eternal and doesn’t change on our emotional whim. I think the constants will always be constant.

Reblogged this on The Shut-in Stand-Up and commented:
    truth is relative

    and really

who wants to spend time with those people?

  4. See Pat – I agree the only thing certain is ability to shift cause even rocks become sand. (somehow that comment sounded so much wittier in my head!)

that’s a great revelation…”truth be as shifting sand”.
What if there is no eternal truth?
