How Bad is Bad?

This fruit is bitter,
thus I label it, “bad.”
Another fruit, juicy and
sweet in its prime hour,
I label, “Good.” Given
time, sun and nutrients
the first fruit becomes
succulently sweet. That
which I wanted to throw
away because it was dry and
and sour, I see now is a
good fruit, developing
according to its nature.

How careful we must be
in judging something or
someone as “bad.” All
must ripen in its own time.
