A Harsh World

Pyramid, desert sand
camels in a row
wanderers in colorful tents
nomads living beneath the stars
climbing dunes they live a simple life
close to nature
understanding life is fragile
one needs friends and family
just to survive their harsh world

Modern man lives in a harsh world, too
though his dangers may seem
very different
in many ways, they are the same
we also need
our family and friends
yet often are alone
alienated by harsh words
unkind deeds
we struggle to survive

Pat! Your words are always pampering to the soul. No deliberate digs, or intentional games at another’s expense. Just truth, and light with delicate tones from you. Thank you for your beautiful uplifting poems!

Thank you for your lovely comments. Each morning I sit quietly and allow these poems to flow through me, never knowing what they will be. I call them Source poems for surely that must be where they come from. I am glad they speak to you, for surely I have been touched by them again and again. hugs, pat
