The Might of Arrogance

light on ocean

If you think you are mighty,
stand next to the ocean
whose power reduces one to
an unfinished sneeze.

If you think you are clever,
more intelligent than most,
stand beneath the stars one
night and compare yourself to
He who creates universes.

Lay down your arrogance for
it makes your journey more
difficult, its weight a rock
upon your back.

Only he who knows humility can
understand that to be big, one
must be small. Our strength
comes in our ability to work
together in loving harmony.

These are very true words. Before the fall, goes the pride.
