Someone’s Princess

Little girl
someone’s princess
what kind of world
will she face
when she is grown
with children of her own?

Oceans buried in plastic
forests cut down
one after another
species forever gone

Is this the heritage
we leave, Dear Ones
for a little princess
to call home?

This does not have to be
but it all depends
on you and me.
