Humility Versus Self-Respect

Putting one’s self down
is not humility.
Self-respect is often
confused with arrogance
doing for others at the cost
of denying our own needs
is not righteousness

How often we forgive another
yet cannot forgive ourselves.
God does not expect us to be perfect
nor does He value one over another.

If we understand our true value
the preciousness of all life
including our own
then it is easier to
love and care for others
while still caring for ourselves
as well.
