Longing

I catch the scent of love,
passion stirs within.
I long for the kiss of life
to open me wide to receive
my lover, too long away
tending to all but me
while I lay in helpless longing.

    You’re not in helpless longing!

    Don’t you have a god?

The poems are not autobiographical but rather are about things all of us experience in our lives. I don’t have a god. We all have the God, even you, Chris, have this wonderful inner voice that loves us and guides us. You may call it what you wish as long as you are respectful, i.e., Creator, Source, God, Spirit, etc., depending on the culture. ❤

How lovely of you to nominate Source of Inspiration for this award. Unfortunately time constraints keep me from complying with the requirements of these awards but I am delighted you recommended my blog. Hugs, pat
