A Breath of Time

My existence is but a breath of time.
Will I squander it with envy, anger, and pride?
No, may my days be numbered
by love, good deeds, and contentment.

May I pass through this life
leaving footprints of laughter,
the scent of joy,
tastes of kindness,
music of faith,
visions of truth.

May I touch all
with the golden sun
of God’s love shining through me.

    • Lovely how these poems speak to all of us, yet why not because at a soul level we are one. In my travels, it always amazes me how much alike people are even when our cultures are so different. hugs, pat

    • Thank you for sharing that the poems are touching you and others deeply. I too am learning from them, often layers of meaning are revealed with I revisit them. They come so fast that I do not remember them afterwards so are sweet surprises when I read them. I only hold the pen. hugs, pat
