A Breath of Time

My existence is but a breath of time.
Will I squander it with envy, anger, and pride?
No, may my days be numbered
by love, good deeds, and contentment.

May I pass through this life
leaving footprints of laughter,
the scent of joy,
tastes of kindness,
music of faith,
visions of truth.

May I touch all
with the golden sun
of God’s love shining through me.

Lovely how these poems speak to all of us, yet why not because at a soul level we are one. In my travels, it always amazes me how much alike people are even when our cultures are so different. hugs, pat

Your words are already touching others deep within… I am one already… hugs, Sam.

Thank you for sharing that the poems are touching you and others deeply. I too am learning from them, often layers of meaning are revealed with I revisit them. They come so fast that I do not remember them afterwards so are sweet surprises when I read them. I only hold the pen. hugs, pat
