In the Silence of Prayer

I live within
the silence of prayer
‘tis a quiet valley
where I can be with God
undisturbed by the
chaos of mankind

This holy place of prayer
is always with me
comforting, guiding
healing all sorrow
a sanctuary I may go to
where I can be
in silent connection
with the Divine
Light of the Lord
