The Perfect Man

The perfect man
does not exist
nor is even needed.
It is we who demand
perfection
never God
whose compassionate love
seeks only a searching soul
willing to grow
through the grace of God.

The irony of the imperfect creation searching for a perfect creator!
How we wish out of the chaos will rise harmony
And we will all be lifted by our unseen benefactor
To a place so benevolent created by our imagination
And we will corrupt that perfect place as we have corrupted
Only perfect place we have called our home
Let imperfection reign, banish the thought of perfection

Pat, as I was replying to your post as above, germ of a poem formed in my mind. I wrote it down quickly before I forgot and posted in my blog acknowledging your poem as the inspiration. Hope it is OK with you.

All inspiration is from Source and I love when we play off each other’s work. I like to take a line or even a few words that I read somewhere and build a poem from it. Everyone may use these poems however they wish and as often as they wish. hugs, pat
