Is mercy earned
paradise gained through our deeds
grace gotten with coupons?

Can such as I, doubting
arrogant, self-centered
gain what God gives with love
through my manipulations?

If I have to depend on my own
goodness, what a catastrophe
it would be, but when
I surrender
my need to control
turning to our Creator
for Guidance
then this transitory
world fades into
My soul at last is free
for all eternity.

It was such a long, time ago, to remember to well about the conversation… (i think it went something like this “by doing good karma in place of the bad karma” therefore gain good karma…

        Make sense?

        Not to me….

      • Pat Cegan says:

Yes, it makes sense, i.e., that we can erase bad karma by good deeds. What we send out always comes back is the idea. Sometimes I wonder if it is true, though. Seems like a lot of people are doing harmful things and still living “good” lives. But karma goes beyond this life believers say. I don’t know, but I do know that my life goes better when I live a loving life. hugs, pat
