Breezes Blowing

Tree branches dancing in the winds
flipping skirts revealing pretty legs
McDonald dandruff skittering curbside
lifting kites high in the air

Summer breezes cooling flushed faces
winter winds shipping
those brave enough to venture forth
sails billowing on autumn eves
as sunset brushes the sky
with painter’s pallets
edged with gold.

Air we breathe
pump up flat tires
daily gift we seldom note
I pause to enjoy
a daily gift I usually ignore

W e take the bounty of nature for granted
I gnoring its daily gifts
N ow stop, take a breath of gratitude
D o enrich your life by paying attention
