To Touch the Moon

I run across the meadow
dappled with twilight.
Tonight’s the night
I can touch the moon
filling the horizon
a ball of golden magic
waiting for my hands
to capture her beauty
stroke her pearl lustrous curve
drink moonbeams out of glass slippers.

Tonight’s the night
to capture the moon.
