The Magnificance

We see not the magnificence
that cascades across our
everyday lives
no time, no eyes to see
that which is all around us
seeped in God’s glory.

Instead we fixate on the
splatters of our life
going from one to the next
blinded by disappointment
resentment
accepting a life only half lived.

How does one change
nightmares to dreams
dreams to reality
filled with joy?

The key is thankfulness
not a shallow thank-you
but eye-opening gratitude
so revealing, so wondrous
that the tiniest reflection
becomes an aspect of
the world of diamond beauty.
