When Statutes Weep

When statues weep
and angels cry
thunder shouts
its agony
perhaps mankind
will rise from it’s gluttony.

We take more than we need
leaving little for others.
There is no limit
to our greed.

Where is our faith
our compassion?
Indeed we are
our brother’s keeper.
Be generous with each other
thrifty with yourself
learn the blessing
of giving to
others in need.

This is true on so many levels. The world will be a better place when we care more about one another.

It starts being a better place with each of us. If we all look around close to home and help those in need, it can spread across the globe like a ripple in a pond. It starts with me…and you, all of us caring enough to act. hugs, pat
