Parades

parade

Pretty ponies prancing
Jugglers tossing balls
bands marching to the rat-ta-tat-tat
people cheering the parade
as ladies on floats
throw candy to the kids

How we love a parade
any occasion will do
old veterans marching
Boy Scouts, too.

Floats of flowers
flags a waving
followed by picnics
on the Green

And in her hour of glory
we crown the Festival Queen
a day of sweet memories
created for us all
anytime is good
winter, spring, summer or fall
