The Ballerina

ballerina

I know a frog
who is a ballerina
impossible you say
legs too long
all that hoppin’
too green, mouth too big
croaks too loud
frogs can’t be ballerinas

But the frog doesn’t know
twirling, leaping
dancing from lily pad to another
happy to be a ballerina.
