Nobody

cubicles

I am nobody
finally
not famous
rich, beautiful
a grain of sand
taught me how
to fit in

Stripped of rebellion
I sit among a maze of cubicles
obedient, unquestioning
nobody
except for a tiny light
throbbing deep within
