Pieces of Me

I am leaving pieces of me
along the trail
little pebbles
of who I used to be
mark the path I trod

When all is stripped away
left behind
the core of who I am
can finally be free.

Problem with me is – instead of leaving pieces of me along the path, I pick up those pebbles others drop! I’ll never be stripped away – I just keep growing. 🙂 S’pose I’ll never be really free?
