Giving Too Much

Each of us has inner guidance
and the choice to follow it or not.
There is a limit to how much help
to give for often the struggle
is needed to awaken
the person to choose the Light.

Do not do for others what they can
do for themselves. for then the gift
is for the giver; the receiver becomes you.

  4. Ok, I like the idea of this post. I just wanted to mention that in my experience, darkness represents yin, intuition, roots, feminine. I choose to purify both my light and dark and become whole, balanced. Does that resonate with you? Thanks for sharing. – Aaron

Interesting. I have never heard of feminine energy being referred to as dark. If one considers the mysterious side of this energy, its subtle energies, I can see that idea has merit. But I have spent so many years associating darkness with negative, harmful energy that it is hard to make that transition. However, in the world of duality, darkness, however horrible seems to have a function, if nothing more than to give us choices. As long as we live in a world of duality, I agree that we need to keep these energies in balance. Interesting that you speak of purifying the light for to me, Light is pure, is of the Divine. Ah, don’t we love to play with words until we feel confused. At that point, I throw up my hands and go play in the sandbox, leaving these things to the adults. 🙂 Thanks for jiggling my brain as I drink my first cup of coffee. hugs, pat
