Singing With the Wind

I sing with the wind
talk to the trees
murmur to swaying grasses
romp with the animals
who climb in my lap
beneath sprawling boughs
content am I
with floresta friends

I laugh when
someone asks if
I am not afraid
to live alone
for I am never
alone, always loved
and protected by those
we can see and a host
that are visible only
with the heart
