White City

white city

I journey to the White City.
It seems so far away. The
invisible shield keeps out
slackers who want to pass,
but who do not want to give
up their selfish ways.

Her walls are the color of
luminescent pearls; her
streets sparkle in the
eternal sun. No shadows
ever enter for dark can not
exist in the middle of
the Light of Love.

I bathe in the River Eternal;
wash away the grime of greed.
I don the robe of compassion
and prepare my longing heart
for the transformation needed
to enter this city of love.
