Just One Thing

rose arbor

What is the best thing that
happened to you today? No,
not the ones that made you
cry; tell me what made the
sun twinkle on new born leaves,
shining and green, so soothing
to my soul.

Tell me one thing that happened
that sweetened your day and filled
your heart with love, for I do not
wish to hear tales of disasters,
loneliness, and woe. My garden
is filled with thornless roses whose
beauty and fragrance fill me with delight.
Come and walk with me here and
tell me the best thing that happened
to you today.
