Spiritual Matters

When speaking of spiritual matters,
we often use the word, “Light,”
but this Light is not the same
as that which comes from the sun
or a candle.

If we say the Creator is the Light,
what does that mean? How inadequate is
language in describing the incomprehensible.

Yet consider how we feel when some doubt
is finally resolved. One is flooded with an
abundance of relief, pleasure, even joy.
We feel “light” and the absence of darkness
in which our doubt placed us. This roaring
revelation of the Light is but the tiniest
drop in the ocean of Love from the Creator,
yet each drop is a perfect duplicate of the Whole.

After looking up the poetry form…new to me, I am delighted. I love what you wrote. It never ceases to amaze me how many poetry forms there are. I know so little about poetry but am learning how much I enjoy it after a lifetime of thinking TS Elliot was typical of all poetry. Ugh. Thanks for the beautiful renga. Also thank you for the link on your site. I can see I need and would like to spend lots of time there. hugs, pat http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/5788
