Creativity #4

Creation begins with a
thought, an idea, a “what if.”
Where do our ideas come from?
“Oh, our brain just sort of…I
don’t know..makes it up!” Ok,
but how does our brain “make up”
an idea it has never had? And
why do people like Thomas Edison
seem to have a superior ability
to create?

Consider the possibility that
each of us has the ability to
create and that creativity can be
cultivated, increased far beyond
where we are now.

The act of creating is like a well
loved tool; a hammer, needle and
thread, mixing bowl paint brush.
Once we understand how to use it,
there are limitless possibilities
in a variety of media. Most of us
who “dabble” in art, music, gardening,
photography, believe we may have a
little talent in these areas but
not in others. But what if talent is
not a gift but rather a person’s
ability to tap into a Source of knowledge.

We have the inate ability to think, to
focus our mind, shutting out all distractions.
We can tap into a timeless Source and
manifest here on Earth that which we call
forth from this Source. Furthermore, we
originate from an infinite Creator and, like
a hologram, have the ability to create
with our Creator. How? you ask. By thinking.
It is so simple that we do not believe it.

Try it. Eliminate everything that dulls
your ability to think clearly.
decide on something you want to create. Sit
quietly, go for a walk in nature, or do
whatever allows your mind to focus
uninterrupted on an idea. Allow thoughts
to bubble up without judging them as they
springboard into other ideas. This is how
the process of creativity begins…with a
thought, an intention.

We are creators; it is who we are. We
can develop our ability to create by
learning how to use our minds to manifest
with Source. And so it is. Amen!

  1. It was enjoyable to follow your thinking in this piece. Likewise, it is always enjoyable to witness others’ responses to the wider reality around them. Will look forward to musing over what you have shared. Anton
