The Journey of Courage

Courage comes in
each tiny moment;
each step that we
take when we feel
we want to give up.

Perhaps courage begins
as a low rumble
hardly more than a hum
emanating from our core,
building in step-by-step
increments as we straighten
our spines, call for the Light
and take one more step.

Sometime we find courage
simply because quitting
is not an option. We
learn that fear and courage
can walk side-by-side.

Then comes the day when
we receive the gift of knowing
that no matter what lies
before us, we do not make this
Journey of Courage alone,
and that is all we need
to succeed with grace
and peace.

You said it right Pat…Times are truly changing and to face the unknown, courage is detrimental..you have put across the thought in the perfect way possible…

All too often, people think we receive courage in one big blast. For me, it often is just the ability to take one more step when I am feeling weary. Thanks for your visit and thoughtful comment. Hugs, pat

      Dearest Bhaga,
These times are difficult for all of us. There is much change and upheavel. As we question all that we were taught to believe…and find much was false, we have many moments of fear, discouragement, even dispair. I had a vision once of the beautiful floresta behind my house lying in charred ruins. I was distraught to say the least. Then as the vision continued, I spotted tiny sprigs of vegetation sprouting up among the blackened remains. I understood that this was a message for me to know that even when all seems lost, there is a promise of renewal. Sometimes we must burn all in order for the new to grow. That is Journey of Courage happens when we surrender. Then begin again, one tiny step at a time, our faith growing with each step we take. I send you much Love and Light, hugs, pat
