Transformation

What would it feel like
for a beggar on the street,
dirty, shunned, filled with despair,
to wake up and discover
he is a diamond
in the crown of the King?

Caterpillar in the cocoon
emerges as a butterfly
who delights with joyous flutters.
Silk worms weave
iridescent clothes for Queens.

All around us,
we see transformation.
Wake up and see
what you have become!

I think this poem aptly describes what is ultimately true of us all. We ARE divine.

    • Pat Cegan says:

Yes we are, Kim. Unfortunately, our whole lives we have been made to feel anything but Divine, i.e, religions, school, families, etc. It takes great courage to step outside of that imposed image and discover who we really are. Thanks for your visit and comment. hugs, pat
