Sin or Virtue?

vanity

What is sin,
what is virtue,
or are they the same?

Welcome your failures,
your falls into the well
of sorrow, your indulgences
in what you know is wrong,
for in these moments of
decent into darkness, we
cry out to the Light.

The deeper we go, the
stronger the Light shines
to bring us closer to
the Divine.

Do not grieve over your
darkness for in this world
of duality, we need both the
yin and yang. It is balance
that we seek in all things,
for balance leads straight
to our Creator.

  3. Debi says:

Most sin we get lost in
    Virtue is automatic
    It comes in a pinch
It shines through when we no longer
    know what to do
Sin is the same yet opposite
    We fall into the depts
    Of pride, lust, vanity, greed
We can no longer see the light
No matter how bright it shines
The Devine is walking by our side
    But we can longer see
Only until we are affected by life
To shake us to our core
Can we no longer ignore the light
Then choose to stay in sin
Virtue only if ingrained in the heart
    Wll darkness depart.

  4. Last night I invented a new pleasure, and as I was giving it the first trial an angel and a devil came rushing toward my house. They met at my door and fought with each other over my newly created pleasure; the one crying, “It is a sin!“—the other, “It is a virtue!” Khalil Gibran.

  5. kalabalu says:

Sin is murder and virtue to save a life
Sin is to steal and virtue is to do justice and catch the thief
Sin is to cheat and virtue is to be faithful
    Sin can never be a virtue..thats right :) )
for meeting divine..remember you must look right
after all you did have a life, with brains and wisdom
and you didn’t use it, to understand
or did use it for being good and wise
