How can I say, “I’m sorry” when I am not?
Insincere apologies are lies.
I won’t apologize for speaking my truth.
How can I say, “I’m sorry” when I am not?
However, I’m learning that some things are best left unsaid.
Silence can be a powerful statement, too.
How can I say, “I’m sorry” when I am not?
Insincere apologies are lies.

Insincere apologies are lies – very well said
and: Silence can be a powerful statement on which, Mewlānā Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi (1207 – 1273).
Silience is the language of God, all else is mere translation.
Your last statement is delightfully true. Thanks for sharing. hugs, pat
Adnan, I just reread your comment. Is that last sentence part of the Rumi quote? He is my favorite poet, so full of wisdom and yet at times, quite witty. I do not know this quote but like it very much. hugs, pat
Yes, it is Rumi, I mentioned in the post forget to write “said”
Indeed Rumi is fav of many
Thanks for liking the reply

Exactly my point in this poem: http://gladiuspoeticus.wordpress.com/2013/01/11/sorry/
How well you say it in so few words. Thanks for sharing your poem. hugs, pat
Hugs back
yes.
it’s amazing to me the expectations of the word having any meaning
when it’s used so effortlessly, almost like a comma breaks up the continuous repetition of pattern behaviour
I think parents instructing children when to say thank you or please or sorry
doesn’t teach manners as much as rote behaviours
teach them consideration and compassion and curiosity
manners will follow as a matter of course
presuming one models the behaviour
true observation, thanks! hugs, pat
Very Well Said..
