Burden of Love

You carry the burden of my love.
Run if you will, but
your shadow goes with you.

I carry the burden of your love,
at times, a rock of pain,
other times, a lesson in compassion.

We carry the burden of God’s Love,
a mirror in which we examine
our ability to love without fail.

Thank you. Sometimes we forget that love comes with responsibility. I believe that our life mission is to learn to love unconditionally. How far we are from that goal! Hugs, pat
