Pride

Beware, those of you
who glorify yourself.
How arrogantly you boast,
looking down on others
as if you have all the answers.

Pride is a rot of the soul.
You belittle others thinking
it makes you look better.
You fool only yourself
with your proclamations.
Others soon see who you
really are beneath that swagger.

And those of you who
self-deprecate are also
filled with a pridefulness
at how unworthy you are.
Do you think God is so poor
a creator that you were
fashioned with errors?

Bring this pride into balance
with humility and gratitude.
You are nothing,
you are everything!

You are an aspect of our
Creator manifesting on Earth.
You are no less and no more
than others…Beloved,
emerging, evolving.

This truth does not change. Amen!
